July 30th Classic Skating

There is nothing like beening poolside on a hot day. Ellie loves her water bottle. Cole loves to be in the water. Ellie likes the water too, but isn't so sure about the Aunties just yet. They did their best to play and distract her. She is still a mama's girl.

Utah Vacation

Cole and Ellie were excited to see the cousins.
We had pizza at Nana & Papa's. Cole was having so much fun, he wanted to have a sleepover at Nee's. He didn't do much sleeping. Poor Jamie.

Here is Ellie crying for her mom. Ellie had been an angel on the plane and all day. She was just tired, done, & wanted to go to bed. I can relate all too well.

Jedi in Tomorrowland

We decided to take a break from all the fun Disneyland rides and watch a Star Wars show. Cole and Tysen were picked to be in the new Jedi training class. They gave them robes, light sabers, and taught them some cool new moves.

Suddenly, Storm Troopers rushed out. Darth Vader and Darth Mal came up out of the ground in a big cloud of smoke. They told the new Jedi class they needed to fight. Who was first in line? Cole, of course, the tiniest one up there. Somehow, they convinced him to fight Darth Vader...He gave it his best shot. Not bad for a little guy. Darth Vader was swinging his saber right at Cole. Vader looked an sounded pretty scary. Cole defeated him and saved our planet. Tysen was up against Darth Mal, who looked even scarier than Vader. Tysen also saved the planet.
Darth Mal made one last attempt, but the new Jedi class prevailed.
The boys celebrated earning their official Jedi certificates. Grammy and Ellie are impressed.

This was the wishing spot. We came here every day for our star light star bright wish under the hat.
Ellie decided to start walking around the hotel. Just a few steps here and there.

Cole and his Best Buddy Ben decided to dress up like books at Nana & Papa's house. They think they are pretty hilarious.

The kids & I are visiting Utah. There are some things I miss about living here. Family is the obvious number one item. The incredible views rank a close second. There is just something about the city lights, gorgeous sunsets, and mountians that make me take a minute to appreciate the moment and breath a little deeper. I took this picture from the balcony of Rich's parents' house the night of our arrival.
